September 5,2010: I'm heading west this week to reconnect with my talented friends in the Tulsa Symphony. With guest conductor Alastair Willis, this should be a fantastic week of Mendelssohn's Overture from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Brahms' Variations on a Theme by Haydn, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5. Woo-hoo! Great line up and great way to kick off the 5th season for this orchestra! Tulsa always promises a large appreciative audience, making every performance so energizing! If there were no audience, there would be no orchestra!
In other news.... I'm once again coordinating Un-Silent Night, a benefit for Madisonville Education and Assistance Center. It will be on Thursday, December 2, 2010. I am seeking artists, willing to donate a piece for our silent art auction. More details about the event to come soon! Like last year, it will be a great time!
